Harper Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a travel organisation seeking a Travel Agent with tour operator experience to join their expanding sales and account management team. This role is central to managing client relationships, driving sales growth and delivering tailored travel packages through a consultative, relationship led approach.
The successful Travel Agent will oversee a portfolio of new and existing clients, nurture long term partnerships and ensure high levels of service throughout the full sales cycle. This position suits an individual with strong sales capability, excellent rapport building skills and confidence working within a tour operator environment.
Role Involvement
• Acting as the main contact for new and existing clients, managing key accounts and building long term relationships.
• Seeking out new sales leads through inbound enquiries, self sourced opportunities and proactive outreach to ensure repeat travel and account retention.
• Running personalised quotes and tailoring trip inclusions, managing the full sales process from initial enquiry through to post trip follow up.
• Advising clients with confidence, demonstrating strong product knowledge and guiding them towards the most suitable travel packages.
• Following up quotations and converting opportunities into confirmed sales.
• Identifying opportunities for product development, improvement and growth within the travel offering.
• Completing any additional tasks required to support the wider sales and account management function.
Skills & Experience Required
• Essential tour operator experience within a sales focused environment.
• Ability to work autonomously while remaining responsive to team and business needs.
• Willingness to research market trends, build self generated leads and manage a portfolio of key accounts.
• Excellent rapport building and relationship management skills.
• Confident with costings, numbers and margin awareness; CRM experience preferred.
• Sales driven with a strong focus on achieving targets.
• Confident being customer facing when required.
