Ready for an HR role where people really are at the heart of everything?

Harper Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected Nottingham organisation to recruit an enthusiastic, personable and experienced HR Advisor.

This is an opportunity to step into a varied and rewarding HR role where you won’t simply be managing processes, you’ll be building relationships, supporting people, advising managers and helping to shape a positive employee experience.

If you’re someone who brings energy, warmth and enthusiasm to HR, enjoys being the person people can turn to, and wants to work somewhere where your contribution genuinely matters, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing a varied caseload of employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, flexible working requests and probation reviews.
  • Becoming a trusted HR partner, providing practical advice and coaching managers through a wide range of people-related challenges.
  • Building strong relationships across the organisation and becoming a friendly, approachable point of contact for employees and managers.
  • Keeping HR policies fresh, compliant and aligned with current best practice.
  • Supporting employee engagement initiatives and playing an active role in the annual staff survey.
  • Managing employee benefits and helping to create a positive, supportive workplace culture.
  • Supporting recruitment activity and helping to deliver an excellent experience for every candidate.
  • Producing meaningful HR reports and analysing trends to help inform business decisions.
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and systems.
  • Working closely with payroll to ensure employee changes are communicated and processed smoothly.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in employment legislation and sharing your knowledge and expertise with the wider business.

What you’ll bring:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
  • Confidence managing a broad range of employee relations cases from start to finish.
  • Strong absence management experience.
  • A strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
  • A naturally approachable and personable style — someone people feel comfortable coming to for advice.
  • A proactive, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Exceptional organisation skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Most importantly, you’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and wants to make a difference.

You’ll also benefit from:

  • Free onsite parking.
  • 24 days annual leave PLUS an additional 5 days off over Christmas, giving you valuable extra time to switch off and enjoy the festive period.
  • Vitality private health insurance.
  • A supportive and collaborative HR environment.
  • The opportunity to develop your career and broaden your HR expertise.
  • A role where you can build genuine relationships and make a positive difference every day.
