Monday Motivation - How to stay positive whilst job searching;

Create a routine:

Job searching can feel like a job in itself.  Consider spending your mornings job hunting and then have your afternoons free to do other activities to help keep motivated.

Get goal-orientated:

Looking for work involves lots of tasks such as making sure your CV is flawless and amending your cover letter so that it is relevant to each vacancy you are applying for. Therefore, it's a good idea to give yourself goals with achievable timeframes. That way you will be much more likely to accomplish them and feel better about yourself.

Acknowledge your achievements:

Help stay positive by reviewing your professional achievements. Look at your CV and see how far you’ve come over the course of your career. Sometimes, having that reminder can make you feel better about yourself and give you a boost of confidence.

Seek inspiration:

Visualisation techniques can work wonders in helping people achieve their goals. If you’re looking for a job, why not create a mood board or put up pictures that inspire you to continue your search?

Take an online course:

Help feel more in control of your job search by taking an online course. Not only will you add to your CV but you will gain some extra knowledge!

The good news is that we are starting to see more jobs on the market, therefore keep an eye on the Search Jobs section on our new website: www.harperhr.co.uk Good luck!
