We’re currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a well-established and growing business based in West Bridgford on a temp-perm basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in finance. Previous purchase ledger experience is essential, as full training will be provided. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Resolving invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal departments
- Preparing supplier payments
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing
- Responding to finance-related queries via phone and email
- Supporting the finance team with general administrative duties
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Purchase ledger experience is essential
- Must be available to start work immediately
- Experience using SAGE is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Please note that this postion is fully office based
