Harper Recruitment Group are working in partnership with an established e?commerce organisation seeking a fully experienced Digital Merchandising Manager to lead their digital merchandising function. This role is responsible for setting the full merchandising direction across all online categories, driving trading performance, ensuring content accuracy and managing a small team to deliver commercial optimisation.
The successful Digital Merchandising Manager will take ownership of online product presentation, trading strategy and workflow improvement, while leading the Marketing Executive and Marketing Assistant to deliver high?quality content, accurate product data and commercially aligned merchandising activity.
Role Involvement
• Digital merchandising strategy – owning the full direction for product presentation, categorisation and online trading across all ranges.
• Team leadership- managing and developing the Marketing Executive and Marketing Assistant to ensure consistent delivery and progression.
• Content optimisation – improving images, descriptions, pricing accuracy and product categorisation to enhance customer experience and conversion.
• Sales growth – driving conversion through product placement, cross?sell, upsell and promotional activity.
• Trading calendar management- running launches, campaigns and seasonal updates to support commercial priorities.
• Performance monitoring – using sales, traffic and conversion data to guide decisions and identify trading opportunities.
• Marketing coordination – ensuring marketing campaigns align with merchandising priorities and support commercial objectives.
• Process improvement – streamlining product updates, workflows and CMS accuracy to improve operational efficiency.
• Offline mailer management – planning, coordinating and delivering offline mailers to support product launches, seasonal campaigns and customer re?engagement.
Skills & Experience Required
• Digital merchandising expertise with proven experience leading merchandising direction.
• Team management capability with confidence developing junior team members.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of trading performance metrics.
• Content accuracy with high attention to detail across product data, pricing and categorisation.
• Analytical mindset with confidence interpreting sales, traffic and conversion data.
• CMS and workflow knowledge with experience improving processes and product update efficiency.
• Collaborative approach when working with marketing, trading and wider commercial teams.
• Offline marketing experience with confidence coordinating mailers and printed promotional activity.
