Harper Recruitment Group is working in partnership with an innovative electronics and development firm based in the East Midlands, which is now looking to recruit a critical role into its growing team. We're looking for an experienced Test Engineer who will design and implement strategies for the business and be the main point of contact responsible for test/demonstration equipment, maintaining a catalogue of locations, build variations and ensuring accurate configuration of test/demonstration equipment. Reporting to the CTO, this is a pivotal role that has strong development potential.
What will the role involve?

• Creation, testing and maintenance of shipping systems, including server databases, application programming interfaces, microservices an applications.
• Responsible for creating and implementing test strategies for the system and then the build and deployment of completed systems once tested
• User interface design/implementation.
• Updating the defect tracking register and liaise with the development engineers to assist in ongoing system development.

• A self-starting, motivated individual with the ability to work on their own and as part of a team, who will have 360 responsibility for all test and demonstration equipment.
• Someone who has the confidence and ability to be flexible in approach as this will draw on not only your technical ability but also aspects such as documentation and governance.
• Your technical skills will include test frameworks, for example, Junit, Selenium, SoapUI or Postman. Familiarity with programming languages C++ and Java. Collaboration/defect tracking tools from Atlassian, Jira and Confluence.
• Either a graduate with 2-3 years experience or coming from a software consultancy/development house looking for a new challenge.
