Our client is an innovative organisation, this is a great time to be joining in their success and becoming part of their friendly and professional accounts function, we are looking for an experienced Sales Ledger Assistant.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the full sales ledger process, providing support and leadership to the finance team and the business, underpinning the wider financial stability of the business through robust processes and systems

Duties will include:

• To own and take the lead for the sales process from sales orders to cash collection
• To identify and report process metrics demonstrating success and areas for improvement
• Raising sales invoices from sales orders and other information
• Resolving complicated issues preventing accurate sales invoices being sent to customers
• Matching, cash receipts to sales invoices
• Interfacing with customer accounts payable contacts to gain commitments to pay
• Resolving difficult issues with customers
• Maintaining customer master data in NAV, setting up new customer accounts and maintaining existing account details
• Reviewing sales ledgers and actioning improvements
• Reconciliation of customer statements, sending our statements to customers
• Maintaining accounting records
• Training and mentoring sales ledger financial assistants
• Being first point of contact for all sales ledger enquiries
• Maintaining strong relationships with external customers and the internal sales teams
• Reviewing systems and processes and driving through significant improvements
• Other activities that their line manager requests as required

Skills/Experience Required

• Excellent communication skills
• Solid team working skills
• Self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature
• Experienced in Excel and Microsoft office packages
• Knowledge of NAV software
• Demonstrable experience of bookkeeping
