Risk and Compliance Assistant

Do you have experience compliance and drafting policies and procedures? This varied and vital role involves working as part of a busy compliance team for a leading Law firm in central Nottingham. You will be key in ensuring the firm reaches its regulatory requirements both internally and externally.
Duties will include
• Providing proportionate, commercial and risk-based advice and guidance to the firm’s legal team
• Administering client onboarding checks and assisting with conflict check queries
• Reviewing and updating the firm’s compliance policies and procedures
• Undertaking file audits, identifying and reporting on trends
• Analysing data/audit findings to identify risk and provide suitable recommendations
Skills and experience required
• Previous experience in a similar risk and compliance based role essential
• Experience of working in an SRA or FCA regulated environment preferable
• Knowledge of SRA Code of Conduct and money laundering regulations advantageous
• Strong organisational skills and experience of delivering results whilst working to deadlines
