Operations Assistant – Charity Sector

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual for a varied role with our charity partner based in Beeston. This fantastic children’s charity makes a real impact on the lives of vulnerable children in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operations and administration of the charity
- Handle enquiries from donors, supporters, and members of the public
- Assist with logistics, stock management, and event support
- Coordinate bookings, schedules, and paperwork for the charity’s waste-recycling subsidiary
- Prepare, deliver, and install furniture for vulnerable families
- Carry out safe manual handling and furniture assembly
- Help manage warehouse space and donated stock
- Work closely with volunteers, families, and partner professionals
What We’re Looking For
- Organised, reliable, and proactive team player
- Strong communication and administrative skills
- Comfortable using basic IT systems and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn and adapt within a varied role
- Able to carry out physical work, including lifting and furniture installation
- Basic knowledge of flat-pack furniture assembly, tools, equipment, and safety procedures
- Compassionate and professional approach when supporting vulnerable families
- Previous experience in operations or charity work is beneficial but not essential
