Night Porter

Role: Temporary Night Porter
Pay Rate: £13ph 
Location: Melton Mowbray (office based)
Hours: 18-22 hours per week
Shift:  Shift hours: 9:45pm – 7:45am  

Our client is seeking a calm and reliable Night Porter to support guest safety, security, and comfort during overnight hours. The role involves working closely with the Duty Management and Reception teams to carry out patrols, respond to guest enquiries, complete reports, and maintain a welcoming environment.  

What will the role involve?

• Maintain the safety, security, and wellbeing of guests throughout the night
• Carry out regular patrols and security checks across the site
• Respond to guest enquiries and requests in a calm, professional manner
• Assist with early departures and overnight guest movements
• Maintain clean, tidy, and welcoming public areas during overnight hours
• Handle incidents confidently and in line with company procedures
• Complete overnight reports and provide clear handovers to the morning team
• Work closely with Duty Management and Reception to ensure smooth overnight operations

• Previous experience in a similar role; Reception or Admin role essential
• Calm, dependable, and level-headed under pressure
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Observant with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
• Organised and capable of working independently
• Professional and reassuring in your approach to guest care
