Job Title: NHS 111 Call Handler
Location: Derby/Chesterfield
Pay Rate: From £11.11 per hour (plus additional rates for evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays)

Current rotas available: Full-time (nights shifts available) and part-time (day and night shifts available)

If you have experience in Customer Service, Contact Centre, Retail, Care or Hospitality, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills, this role is for you – no medical experience required!

What will the role involve?

• Handle inbound calls from the public and healthcare professionals
• Provide appropriate response and advice to patients
• Liaise with clinical advisors, primary care, social services, and out of hours services
• Ensure a high level of customer care at all times
• Escalate calls when necessary, including emergencies and ambulance dispatch
• Log calls and update information on the NHS pathway system

• Experience in Customer Service, Contact Centre, Retail, Care or Hospitality
• Computer literate with excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to remain calm and confident, solving simple and complex enquiries in a sympathetic manner
• Thrive in a fast-paced and pressured environment
• Available for 6 weeks of full-time training

• Pay rates starting at £11.11ph
• 30% enhancement pay between 6pm and 8am.
• 45% enhancement pay on the weekends and Bank Holidays
