Management Accountant

Job Role: Management Accountant 
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £40-£50k doe

Harper Recruitment Group and working in partnership with an innovative business just outside of Nottingham City Centre, we are looking looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join the busy finance function.

Working alongside the FC you will have overall accountability for preparing, developing and applying findings from financial reports inline with VAT, Tax etc

What does the role involve?

• Supporting the financial controller with supervision of team 
• Reporting all aspects of one or more of the Group companies
• Reporting all aspects of one or more of the Group Revenue Streams or Divisions 
• Leading one or more Finance Business Cycles e.g. Sales, including maintaining and improving processes
• Being the Finance Team expert for a specific area e.g. Month End close procedures
• Responsible for reconciliation of accounts, balance sheets and nominal ledger 
• Perform initial checks of payroll activity
• Prepare & sumbit UK VAT and overseas tax compliance 
• Manage all aspects of the daily cash flow accounts 
• Coordinate and be the contact for internal and external audits 
• Provide monthly reporting documentation to FC
• Accurate & timely submission of VAT, employment taxes and stakeholder pension compliance 

Who are we looking for?

• Proven Finance experience in a fast paced environment 
• CIMA or ACCA qual
• Excellent communicator
• Good attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
