Harper Recruitment Group is working with a highly respected and well-established organisation in Bakewell to appoint an experienced HR Officer.

The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive and proactive HR service across the organisation, working closely with senior leaders, effectively managing a diverse and fast-paced workload, and demonstrating strong motivation to achieve results.

What will the role involve?

• Provide generalist HR advice across the organisation, including ER, absence, performance, recruitment, and wellbeing.
• Manage and lead HR casework, including investigations, grievances and disciplinaries.
• Support workforce planning, restructures, redundancies and TUPE processes.
• Oversee recruitment and selection, ensuring compliance and a positive candidate experience.
• Manage pre-employment checks and maintain the database
• Mentor and support the HR Assistant with HR administration and processes.
• Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support HR training and coaching for leaders and department teams.
• Provide HR data, KPIs and management information for reporting.
• Ensure HR processes align with employment legislation and sector requirements.
• Promote staff wellbeing and act as a Mental Health First Aider.

• A relevant degree or CIPD qualification (or working towards one).
• Proven experience in a HR Advisor role.
• Strong experience engaging with individuals at all levels of management.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong, effective stakeholder relationships.
