Location: Lincoln
Salary: £660 day rate
Contract Type: June 2024 – November 2024 (potentially extendible)
Hours: Full time

Our Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Cyber Security Engineer/Architect to join the team on a contract basis. This role is crucial in enhancing our Client’s cybersecurity measures. You will work in a complex and diverse technological environment, collaborating with public and private sector partners.


What will the role involve?

• Defining and implementing security countermeasures
• Driving suppliers to deliver necessary systems and changes
• Managing projects focused on improving cyber security
• Ensuring effective vulnerability management
• Collaborating with the Head of Cyber Security and other colleagues to identify, plan, and deliver projects to enhance cybersecurity
• Focus on security improvements in M365, Azure, networks, and firewalls
• Working with a team of technical specialists and delivery partners

• At least 5 years of technical security experience
• Strong technical skills including Azure, Microsoft Defender, M365 networking and firewalls.
• Ability to work independently, manage challenges, and keep programme leads informed of progress.
• Proficiency in planning and driving the delivery of security improvements
• Strong understanding of security best practices and vulnerability management

• A working knowledge of security testing tools
• Knowledge of formal standards eg NIST/NCFC/CIS
• Experience of implementing 3^rd party SOC

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, related field or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Relevant Microsoft Security certifications
