Harper Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a long-established, reputable organisation within the waste management sector. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a tenacious, passionate and positive Business Development Manager to join the sales team, where you will be responsible for generating new business and nurturing client relationships across the Nottingham area.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively and reactively identify new business leads through cold calling and other outreach methods
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets while managing your own pipeline
- Act as the key interface between customers and internal departments
- Use and update internal CRM systems and maintain accurate records
- Support the Sales Manager and wider team with sales-related activities
What we’re looking for:
- Previous sales experience within the waste management sector is highly advantageous
- Proven track record of selling contracted services and achieving/overachieving targets
- Resilient, able to handle rejection, and comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Social media savvy, with the ability to reach prospects online
- Strong rapport-building and communication skills; articulate, confident and politely persistent
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Ambitious, self-motivated and determined, with a strong “can-do” attitude
