Harper Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well-established and secure commercial business based in Nottingham. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable and detail-driven Bookkeeper to join the team, where you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintaining financial records and ledgers
- Processing invoices, payments and receipts
- Reconciling bank accounts and company credit cards
- Preparing VAT returns
- Assisting with month-end tasks
- Monitoring cash flow and supporting budgeting activities
- Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal teams
- Supporting the wider finance function as required
What we’re looking for:
- Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within a commercial environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Confident using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work independently with a proactive, positive approach
