Harper Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well-established and secure commercial business based in Nottingham. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable and detail-driven Bookkeeper to join the team, where you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintaining financial records and ledgers
  • Processing invoices, payments and receipts
  • Reconciling bank accounts and company credit cards
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Assisting with month-end tasks
  • Monitoring cash flow and supporting budgeting activities
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal teams
  • Supporting the wider finance function as required

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within a commercial environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Confident using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive, positive approach
