Bookkeeper - part time 25 hours per week

£25,000 - £27,000 pro rata

Are you experienced in Bookkeeping and currently looking for a new role within an exciting, thriving award winning business? We have a fabulous opportunity to join a highly reputable business who are leaders in their industry.

Working as part of a small team and liaising closely with the external company accountants you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the businesses Bookkeeping function.

The role will largely be working from home with hours offering flexibility around core business requirements (Monday - Friday 10am - 3pm) The successful Bookkeeper will be required to attend the office when required for meetings, busy periods etc…

Duties will include

• Sales invoice processing
• Purchase invoice processing
• Credit control/debt management
• Bank reconciliations
• Income recognition accounting
• Wages journals
• Accruals calculations and journals
• Prepayment calculations and journals
• Manage fixed asset register and depreciation calculations and journals
• Sales ledger and purchase Ledger management
• Generate and analyse financial reports
• Calculate and prepare VAT and PAYE tax payments
• Assist with budget preparation
• Maintain complete filing systems
• Prepare payments and bank deposits

Skills/experience required

• Previous experience in a similar Bookkeeping role essential
• Knowledge of using XERO software
• Experience of processing high volume of small transactions advantageous
• Flexible approach to work
• Strong attention to detail
• Friendly, positive, and can-do attitude
