Job role:  Bookkeeper

Location: Nottingham (NG8)

Salary:    £20-25k

Harper Recruitment Group are working in partnership with specialist business to recruit and experienced Bookkeeper, an exciting time to join the expanding finance function.

Working as part of a small team and you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the businesses Bookkeeping function, this role has the flexible option to be both in the office and working from home.

What will the role involve?

  • Sales invoice processing
  • Purchase invoice processing
  • Credit control/debt management
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Income recognition accounting
  • Wages journals
  • Accruals calculations and journals
  • Prepayment calculations and journals
  • Manage fixed asset register and depreciation calculations and journals
  • Sales ledger and purchase Ledger management
  • Generate and analyse financial reports
  • Calculate and prepare VAT and PAYE tax payments
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Maintain complete filing systems
  • Prepare payments and bank deposits

Skills/experience required:

  • Previous experience in a similar Bookkeeping role essential
  • Knowledge of using XERO software
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Friendly, positive, and can-do attitude
