Job Role:  111 Call Handler

Location:  Chippenham

Salary:      £10-£12.50 Shift dependant

Hours:      15 hours - 37.5 hours/week (Day & Night shifts available)

What will the role involve?

  • Handling inbound calls from members of the public & health care professionals
  • Providing appropriate response and advise based on symptoms (full training provided)
  • Liaising with clinical advisors, primary care, social services and out of hours services
  • Ensuring a high level of customer care always provided
  • Escalating calls when required or in case of emergency i.e. ambulance dispatch
  • Logging all calls and updating information onto NHS pathway system

All roles include 3/4 weekends and are on 4-week rotating shift pattern. There are a range of hours including day shifts, night shifts, full time and part time. 

If successful you must be available full time for 6 weeks training, all roles are subject to background vetting including DBS clearance.

Who should apply?

  • At least 1 year’s customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
