Hope Alive Tour 2019

On the 10th October 2019, Operation Orphan's Hope Alive UK Tour will start. The Hope Alive Tour is a charity challenge like no other.

Treading in the footprints of the great anti-slavery campaigner William Wilberforce, it pitches 9 runners on an incredible 390-mile UK relay adventure: the equivalent of two marathons per runner across four days.

The tour explores and raises the issues of modern child slavery and directly empowers Operation Orphan to keep children safe.

Harpers are joining forces with Operation Orphan for this amazing cause, and have provided the runners with their t-shirts.

“We are in awe of the dedication the runners have to this cause and will be supporting them every step of the way, we wish the team the best of luck and will be thinking of them throughout their journey” says Darren – Operations Director – Harper Recruitment.

The Hope Alive UK Tour consists of the following elements:

Nine runners completing a four-day relay from Hull to Cambridge via Liverpool and Nottingham.  Each city is significant to Wilberforce and slavery in the 1800’s and Operation Orphan.

  • Wednesday Evening - Arrive in Hull
  • Thursday Morning - Pre-Tour brief/training and leave Hull
  • Friday Morning - Arrive in Liverpool
  • Saturday Morning - Arrive in Nottingham
  • Saturday - Beeston 5km Park Run
  • Saturday - Leave for Cambridge
  • Sunday Morning - Arrive in Cambridge to complete the challenge.
