Harper Recruitment Group was founded by Jane Harper in 1987 with a clear vision: combine the professionalism of national recruitment firms with the personal, human approach of a local consultancy.

Jane Harper
Managing Director & Founder
Jane founded Harper Recruitment in 1987 after working for an international recruiter and independent consultancy. Nearly four decades later, she's still passionate about building lasting relationships and helping people develop their careers over the years. A proud supporter of the local community, Jane was also the youngest Justice of the Peace in Nottingham at the time of her appointment. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and staying closely connected to the local community she has always supported.
Darren Bungay
Operations Director
With more than 30 years' recruitment experience, Darren has held senior positions with leading national recruitment businesses before joining Harper Recruitment over a decade ago. He believes the best recruitment starts with honest conversations and genuine relationships, putting both clients and candidates at the centre of everything he does. Away from the office, he enjoys spending time with family and making the most of downtime away from the day-to-day pace of recruitment.
Peter Moore (OBE)
Non-Executive Director
Peter M Moore OBE is one of the UK's most accomplished business leaders, with more than 40 years of board-level experience in commercial strategy, operational excellence and organisational growth. Awarded an OBE for services to tourism, he spent 15 years at Center Parcs UK, ultimately serving as Managing Director, where he led major expansion and improved commercial performance. As a Non-Executive Director at Harper Recruitment, Peter brings independent strategic oversight, strong governance and extensive commercial expertise to support sustainable business growth.
Sherrine Baker
Commercial Director
Sherrine has extensive experience across every stage of the recruitment journey, providing trusted advice and support to both clients and candidates. Her approachable style and industry knowledge help create positive experiences from start to finish. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking her energetic dog, Kylo, on long walks.
Kate Brackenbury
Associate Director
Kate brings over a decade of industry experience and specialises in leading large-scale recruitment projects for growing businesses. Whether working with start-ups, SMEs or corporate clients, she's known for delivering the right people on time, on budget and on brief. When she's not recruiting, you'll usually find her trying out new restaurants or planning her next holiday – she’d love to hear your recommendations!
Holly Keylock
Managing Consultant
Holly's Harper Recruitment journey started as a candidate, and nearly ten years later she's built lasting relationships with clients and candidates alike – many of whom she's supported from both sides of the recruitment process. Passionate about travel, she's already explored an impressive number of countries and is always ready with a TV recommendation for your next binge-watch.
Luke Toplis
Managing Consultant
Luke is an experienced recruiter who prides himself on building strong, long-lasting relationships with both clients and candidates. Known for his honest, approachable style, he enjoys helping people find opportunities where they can thrive and supporting businesses in finding the right talent. When he's not working, you'll usually find him planning his next holiday or exploring new destinations whenever he gets the chance.
Molly Malpas-Lewis
Account Manager
Molly specialises in temporary recruitment and has built strong relationships with many of the region's leading employers. She enjoys getting to know both clients and candidates, taking the time to understand what they're looking for and making the right match. A keen traveller, she joined the team after a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore Latin America and has plenty of travel tips!
Julia Bevin
Finance Manager
Julia has spent over 30 years working in finance and has been a valued member of the Harper Recruitment team for more than a decade. She keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring our finance and accounting processes are in safe hands. Outside of work, you'll often find her watching the latest sports tournament or spending time spoiling her much-loved dog, Flo.
Paige Le Marchand-Meineke
Payroll & Compliance Manager
Paige first came to Harper Recruitment as a candidate after completing her Master's degree in Translation – and we've never let her leave! Nearly ten years later, she expertly manages payroll and compliance, making sure everything runs seamlessly. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, long walks and planning her next adventure abroad.
Shannon McLean
Operations & Marketing Manager
Shannon has been providing key operational and marketing support to the team since 2022, helping keep everything running behind the scenes. When she's not at work, you'll usually find her reading a good book, learning a new language or rink-side cheering on the Nottingham Panthers.
Martha Randall
Administrator
Martha joined Harper Recruitment in 2024 and quickly completed her Business Administration apprenticeship with flying colours. She provides invaluable administrative support to both our team and clients, helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes. A keen reader and self-confessed foodie, she’s always on the lookout for the latest treats to try.
