Job Role: Interim Buying Manager
Location: Castle Donnington
Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5
Harper Recruitment Group are proud to working in partnership with an iconic British brand based in Derbyshire, initially a contract role you manage the running of Purchasing department.
Ideally you will have experience within the Automotive/Engineering industries with a track record of team leadership and managing operational raw material requirements.
You will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with your suppliers.
What does the day to day look like?
Managing supplier relationships
Strategic planning and implementation
Liaising with overseas/internal teams and external parties building key relationships
Negotiation of terms and costings
Attending supplier visits and audits
Controlling stock levels – managing stores team to improve process
Managing supplier quality control
Building relationships with various departments and stake holders
Who are we looking for?
Previous experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment
Excellent relationship builder with strong communication skills
