Job Role: HR Officer (Part time)
Location: Nottingham
Hours: Monday - Friday
Salary: £24,000-£26,000k Pro rata


Harper Recruitment group are working in partnership with a highly successful and established independent Nottingham business. Established for over 40 years and market leaders in their field this is a unique and opportune time to join them.

Reporting to the board of Directors you will provide the business with professional HR support and be responsible for employee welfare.

What does the role involve?

  • Pre and post-employment checks
  • Absence monitoring
  • Holiday monitoring and accrual
  • Preparing and assisting with conducting performance reviews
  • Preparing contracts and amendment of terms
  • An understanding of employment law particularly in relation to Conduct, Capability, Investigations, Disciplinary & Grievance
  • Advising Line Managers on correct processes
  • Knowledge of ACAS in particular, the ‘ACAS Code of Practice.’
  • General letter writing and document production
  • Keeping employee files up to date
  • Archiving
  • Promoting employee welfare and being a confidential ‘go to person’ for staff
  • Calculating staff hours / salaries / pension contributions


Who are we looking for?

  • Proven experience within a HR BP or similar role
  • CIPD level 3 or working toward
  • Experience of detailed HR Admin process
  • Excellent relationship builder with strong communication skills
  • Experience with managing a HR system
