Job Role: Assistant Accountant
Location: Nottingham City Centre
Salary: circa £25k

Harper Recruitment Group and working in partnership with a successful financial services company in Nottingham City Centre, we are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join for an initial temporary contact

Working alongside the Financial Controller assisting with the day to day running of the finance department.

What does the role involve?

• Responsible for reconciliation of accounts, balance sheets and nominal ledger
• Perform month end reconciliation
• Oversee the purchase ledger function – ensuring prompt and accurate recording
• Maintain monthly accruals and prepayment journals
• Assist with the production of the income and reporting figures
• Coordinate and be the contact for internal and external audits
• Assist with cash flow forecasting

Who are we looking for?

• Proven Finance experience in a fast paced environment
• AAT or CIMA
• Payroll & balance sheet experience
• Knowledge of internal banking and accounting procedures
• Excellent communicator
• Good attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
